Top Stories 2011 Summer Camps Ohio Northern will host a number of academic and athletic summer camps that will bring to campus thousands of middle and high school students from across the region. Students will find a variety of opportunities to combine new discoveries with plenty of fun. Outstanding students receive Dankook Award Ohio Northern University presented the Dankook Award to Kyle R. Stinehart, a 2011 graduate from Pemberville, Ohio, and Kyle S. Simmons, a 2011 graduate from North Lawrence, Ohio, in a ceremony prior to the undergraduate commencement on Sunday, May 22.
Person, Clingerman participate in European forum Dr. Ray Person, professor of religion, and Dr. Forrest Clingerman, assistant professor of philosophy and religion, recently participated in the biennial meeting of the European Forum for the Study of Religion and the Environment, May 21-24, at the University of Chester, UK.

‘Dream Job’ Austin Moyer, a 2011 mechanical engineering graduate from New Washington, Ohio, is quoted in a soon-to-be published book, “How I Got My Dream Job,” by Pete Leibman, job search/career expert, speaker and creator of The Dream Job College Tour. In the 2012 book, Moyer talks about how he landed his dream job with Polaris Industries, the manufacturer of all-terrain vehicles through networking and persistence, even after he was told he was no longer being considered for the position he wanted. Team finishes fifth at international Baja SAE competition Ohio Northern University’s Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Baja team finished fifth overall at the Baja SAE Birmingham competition held April 14-17. Fifty-eight teams from several countries, including the United States, Canada, South Korea and Mexico, traveled to Birmingham, Ala., for the event.
Textbook rentals come to campus bookstore This fall, ONU will become part of a select group of colleges/universities offering students a textbook rental program. This opportunity is made possible thanks to a partnership forged between Ohio Northern University administration and the campus bookstore, managed by Barnes & Noble. With textbook rentals, students can realize tremendous savings, paying less than half of what they would to purchase a new, printed textbook.
