The Ohio Northern University Astronomy Club invites ONU students, faculty and staff as well as Ada and the surrounding communities to “The Galaxies of Spring,” an astronomy event in the ONU Observatory on Friday, May 6, from 9 to 11 p.m.

Ohio Northern to recognize academic achievement at Honors Day
Ohio Northern University celebrates its 39th annual Honors Day program on Saturday, May 7, from 8:15 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Emmy Award winner to conduct ONU Spring Band Festival
Emmy-winning composer Julie Giroux will serve as guest artist-conductor for the Ohio Northern University Music Department Spring Band Festival Concert on Sunday, May 8.  

Spring Celebration of the Arts
The University welcomes Timothy O'Keefe, winner of the 2010 FIELD Poetry Prize, on Thursday, May 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Elzay Gallery. O'Keefe will read from his newest book, "The Goodbye Town" (Oberlin Press, 2011). In addition, the celebration will feature the work of English and art and design students.

Hunt presents the retiring president’s address at Ohio MAA

Don Hunt, associate professor of mathematics and chair of the mathematics and statistics department, presented the retiring president’s address at the recent spring meeting of the Ohio Section of the Mathematics Association of America, held at Youngstown State University.

ONU finishes first in OPA’s Innovative Pharmacy Business Plan Competition
Three student members of the Ohio Northern University National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) took first place in the Ohio Pharmacists Association’s Innovative Pharmacy Business Plan Competition (IPBPC).

LeGendre receives PRSA award

Renee LeGendre, a senior communications major from Toledo, Ohio, has been recognized as the outstanding graduate from the Central Ohio Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).



ONU to recognize student leaders
Ohio Northern University will host the 13th annual President’s Leadership Dessert on Wednesday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the King Horn Center’s field house. An evening of fellowship, dessert and awards, the President’s Leadership Dessert is designed by the University to thank and recognize students who have demonstrated leadership potential.
