Hunt presents the retiring president’s address at Ohio MAA

Don Hunt, associate professor of mathematics and chair of the mathematics and statistics department, presented the retiring president’s address at the recent spring meeting of the Ohio Section of the Mathematics Association of America, held at Youngstown State University.  

The title of his presentation was “Will it Go Round in Circles? Will it Ride Smoothly on Bumpy Ground? (YEAH)” and dealt with the mathematics of obtaining smooth rides in cars with non-round wheels.  This address concluded Hunt’s tenure as president of the Ohio Section of the Mathematics Association of America.
