Phi Beta Delta chapter receives national honor
The ONU Gamma Upsilon chapter of Phi Beta Delta, the honor society for international scholars, has been named the outstanding chapter of the organization in the U.S.
Dr. Michael Loughlin, professor of history and campus coordinator for Phi Beta Delta, attended the national and international conference, March 30-April 1, in Long Beach, Calif. He says he was taken by surprise when the honor was announced.
Phi Beta Delta has 184 chapters around the world. At the conference, Loughlin accepted the award, thanked the organization for the honor and made a suggestion that Phi Beta Delta create a database of scholars who can travel locally, regionally, nationally and internationally to speak about their areas of knowledge.
