Dr. Sami Khorbotly, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, presented a paper titled "A modified approximation of 2D Gaussian Smoothing Filters for Fixed-Point platforms" at the Joint IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT-2011) and Southeastern Symposium on System Theory (SSST-2011), March 14-16, at Auburn University, in Auburn, Ala.
The paper was co-authored by Dr. Khorbotly and Dr. Firas Hassan, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering. The research was supported by the College of Engineering Summer Research Program.
