Tax team places second in national competition

The ONU College of Law’s Moot Court Tax team placed second in the Florida Bar Association National Tax Competition, Feb. 3-5 in St. Petersburg, Fla. 

The team of Brett Hillyer, a third year law student from Dennison, Ohio, and Karrie Pratt, a second-year law student from Lawrenceburg, Ind., was coached by Andrew Johnston, a third-year law student from Troy, Ohio.

The ONU team competed in the final round against the University of Florida and appeared in front of three retired federal tax court judges.
