LeGendre Receives ‘Distinguished Student Award’
Renee LeGendre, a senior in communication arts from Toledo, Ohio, and the current president of ONU's PRSSA chapter, was recognized with the "Distinguished Student Award" as the top undergraduate communication student in Ohio at the recent Ohio Communication Association conference.
In addition, her paper, "The Use of Twitter by Journalists and the Newspaper Industry" received the award as the top undergraduate research paper in Ohio for 2010.
The Distinguished Student Award is based on nomination and support from faculty, administrators and community members in recognition of the student’s academic achievement and community service activities. LeGendre is a part of ONU's Honors Program.
Also participating in the poster/program/panel sessions during the conference were Joe Clarkson, a junior in communication arts from Huntingdon, Pa., "Scoring Big at Colleges and Universities with Sport Public Relations," and
Stephanie Rowe, a senior in communication arts from Waldo, Ohio, "Technology in Health Care: An Analysis using the Diffusion Theory"
