Donaldson named Robinson Young Alumni of the Year
Ohio Northern University has named Adrienne Wood Donaldson, a 1999 graduate of ONU’s Raabe College of Pharmacy, as the 2010 recipient of the William L. Robinson Young Alumni of the Year Award.
The award is given each year to an individual who is committed to Ohio Northern University, his/her profession and the community. The award is named in honor of Bill Robinson, a 1961 graduate of Ohio Northern who has served the University for more than 50 years in numerous capacities and has been a positive influence on countless students and alumni.
“What an honor for Ohio Northern to present this award to an individual as wonderful as Adrienne,” said Ann Hamilton, director of alumni relations. “She has done so much, for so many, at Ohio Northern and in her profession. We are proud she is part of the Ohio Northern family.”
Immediately after graduating from ONU, Donaldson earned a job with Drug Emporium where she met her husband, Doug Donaldson, also an Ohio Northern pharmacy graduate. The couple married in 2004. She is currently employed at McKesson Pharmacy Systems, which assesses technology needs in pharmacy chains and outpatient pharmacies and implements solutions, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
As a chairman for the Pharmacy Advisory Board, Donaldson is the youngest individual to ever chair an advisory board at the University. She also is an active member of the Rudolph Raabe College of Pharmacy Campaign Committee for the comprehensive Campaign for Ohio Northern University’s Tomorrow, to which she and her husband have been extremely generous.
“Northern is aiming for great things, and we want to be a part of it,” Donaldson said of her gift.
The Donaldsons live in Sewickley, Pa.
