Fall Open House events
Ohio Northern University welcomes high school seniors to campus for a series of four October open houses beginning on Oct. 2. Prospective students will learn about specific Ohio Northern programs, meet with current students, faculty, alumni and staff, and attend informational admissions and financial aid sessions. A complimentary lunch and campus tour also will be provided.
On Oct. 2, the T.J. Smull College of Engineering and The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration will hold open houses along with the ONU Performing and Visual Arts Open House. Registration for all events begins at 9 a.m.
During the College of Engineering open house, prospective students will have the chance to participate in an informational sessions conducted by the engineering faculty, listen to an alumni engineering panel, and discuss electrical, mechanical, civil and computer engineering majors with a student panel.
The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration Open House is open to students wishing to major in any field of business, including accounting, marketing, management, finance, pharmaceutical business, or international business and economics. Students will listen to a panel of current business students who will discuss their experiences in the college and on campus and interact with young alumni regarding their experiences during and after college. Students and parents will be able to tour facilities, meet with faculty, and speak with students about the wide array of programs offered at Ohio Northern.
At the Performing and Visual Arts open house, prospective students will learn about the unique blend of quality liberal arts and professional programs offered in the departments of art and design, communication arts and music.
Experience ONU Day is Monday, Oct. 11. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The event allows participants to immerse themselves in the total collegiate experience by visiting an actual class, talking with current students and getting a glimpse into the daily life of an ONU student. Experience ONU Day is open to all students interested in any ONU program, and the respective colleges will conduct academic sessions with the deans of the Colleges of Engineering, Business Administration, Pharmacy, and Arts & Sciences.
The events conclude with a Fall Open House on Oct. 30. This day is for high school students to learn about the unique blend of quality liberal arts and professional programs ONU offers as well as the abundant, diverse opportunities available to ONU students. Activities include a campus tour, a parent financial aid session, a student panel and a chance to eat in the ONU dining hall.
