DiPietro Co-Authors Chapter

Natalie DiPietro, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, is coauthor of a chapter in a new text book on public health and pharmacy, “The Pharmacist in Public Health: Education, Applications, and Opportunities.”

The chapter focuses on the rationale for including pharmacy students in public health activities; academia and educational directives regarding public health in pharmacy education; professional organizations' view on student pharmacist involvement in public health; strategies for involving pharmacy students in public health activities; and student pharmacists' impact on public health.  

In addition, the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy and ONU’s APhA-ASP and NCPA chapters are featured in the chapter.

Kristen Finley Sobota, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, and Dee Dee Myers, pharmacy instructor, are also recognized in the book for contributing information about the public health initiatives of these two student organizations.
