Rorabaugh

Professor Receives Largest Research Grant in University History
Boyd Rorabaugh, associate professor of pharmacology and cell biology at Ohio Northern University, has received the largest National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research grant in the University's history for his work investigating the role of regulators of G-protein signaling (RGS) proteins in cardiac ischemic injury. The total amount of the grant is $2,484,937, of which ONU will receive $347,235.

Ohio Supreme Court to hold Off-Site Court at Ohio Northern

The Supreme Court of Ohio will convene an official session at Ohio Northern University on Wednesday, Sept. 29. The visit is part of the court's semiannual Off-Site Court Program.
Chief Justice Eric Brown and Justices Paul E. Pfeifer, Evelyn Lundberg Stratton, Maureen O'Connor, Terrence O'Donnell, Judith Ann Lanzinger and Robert R. Cupp will hear oral arguments in four cases beginning at 9 a.m. on campus in Ada, Ohio.

Tickets are now available for Jack Hanna's "Into the Wild Live" on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and ONU's Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

Country singer Lee Ann Womack will perform on Saturday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are available now.

Professors Named National Advisors of the Year

Two Ohio Northern University pharmacy professors have been named National Advisor of the Year for their respective organizations.

Child Development Center Accepting Preschool Applicants
The Child Development Center at ONU is accepting students for its full and half-day preschool program. The program is open to both ONU and community families and provides positive social experiences for children that will enrich their physical, cognitive and emotion growth. The center’s hands-on approach invites and encourages children to choose their activities and become involved in a variety of materials appropriate for their age.

Football Season Kicks Off Honoring Legend

Ohio Northern University kicks off the 2010 Division III football season against Wisconsin-River Falls on Thursday, Sept. 2., with a number of activities, including a tribute to ONU's revered former head coach Arden "Stretch" Roberson. The ONU game is the first game of the collegiate football season at any level.

NCAA names Ron Beachler Next Wrestling Secretary Rules Editor
Ron Beaschler has been named the NCAA's next wrestling secretary-rules editor.

Football Opener to Benefit Red Cross
No. 11-ranked ONU will face River Falls at 3 pm Thursday in the first game nationally of the NCAA Division III season.
The game can be seen live on a pay-per-view basis for just $12 on OhioCollegeFootball.com.
