Doing Business in China

Businesses interested in selling goods in China will benefit from research by students in Dr. Peter Banfe’s international marketing course in The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration (DCBA).

Their primer on doing business in China, “China in Focus: Luxury Goods Market,” is now available on the U.S. Department of Commerce Web site.

The project was accepted by The China Business Information Center of the Foreign Commence Center in the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Lead authors, editors are Sarah Bachwitz, a senior from Buffalo, N.Y., and Benjamin Tarkany, a senior from Miamisburg, Ohio.

Co-authors are Jasmine Coleman, a senior from Canton, Ohio; Greg Dell, BSBA ’10; Danielle Humphrey, BSBA ’10; Chrissy Lockhart, a senior from Englewood, Ohio; James March, a senior from Mount Vernon, Ohio; Morgan Neiss, BSBA ’10; Mike Stevenhagen, BSBA ’10; Christopher Weingand, BSBA ’10; and Adam Yunker, a senior from Holland, Ohio.

Banfe said, “The government is very selective about information they put out on their website. This is a great tribute to the quality of students we have here at the DCBA as well as the quality of work they can be motivated to produce.”
