Kamatali to Give Keynote Lecture
Dr. Jean-Marie Kamatali, visiting assistant professor of law, will give the keynote lecture at the third annual forum on international human rights at Beloit College, Beloit, Wis.
His topic for the Sept. 13 lecture is “Rebuilding Society After Conflict and Dictatorship: Lessons from Rwanda.”
Kamatali is assistant director of ONU’s Democratic Governance and Rule of Law LL.M. program and former dean of the law school of the National University of Rwanda.
His lecture is part of the Marvin Weissberg Program in International Human Rights at Beloit College. Past speakers have been Roy Gutman, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist, speaking Afghanistan, and Gen. Stephen Xenakis, former army commander, speaking on detainee rights.
