Faculty Members Exhibit at ArtSpace/Lima
“Any Day Now,” the paintings and drawings of William Mancuso and Melissa Eddings is the current exhibit at ArtSpace/Lima, running through July 24.
William Mancuso, assistant profess or of art, and Melissa Eddings, associate professor of art, are both professors in ONU’s Department of Art & Design and both have shown at ArtSpace in the past. They were part of the joint Ohio Northern faculty exhibit in the fall of 2006. In 2009, Eddings was curator for "Under Cover: 6 Artists, 24 Books" at ArtSpace. This is the first time they have been co-exhibitors at ArtSpace.
Eddings is also director of the Elzay and Stambaugh Studio Theatre galleries. She holds a BFA degree from Ohio University in Athens and an MFA degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
Mancuso has an MFA degree in painting from SUNY-Buffalo and a BFS in studio art from SUNY-Brockport. He annotates his work as follows: "For me, being involved with the process of art is about seeing. Seeing the interconnectedness. Seeing the invisible behind the visible. I'm hoping that any day now, more and more people will recognize that we are not separate bags of skin, the myth of the 'individual', but are totally interconnected and dependent, woven into the fabric of all that nature and the experience of life offer."
Admission to the Ellen Nelson Gallery is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and closed Sunday and Monday. Contact ArtSpace for additional information at 419-222-1721.
