Honors Day Recognizes Academic Achievement

Justice Robert R. Cupp to Speak at Law Commencement
The 2010 Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law commencement will take place on Sunday, May 16, at 2 p.m. in the ONU Sports Center. Approximately 101 students are slated to graduate. Dr. Kendall L. Baker, Ohio Northern president, will preside. Robert R. Cupp, BA '73, JD '76, current justice on the Supreme Court of Ohio, will deliver the commencement address.

Symphony Presents Spring Concert
The ONU Symphony will present its final program of the season on Saturday May 15 at 8 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

Wind Turbine Celebration
Mark your calendar! On May 21, ONU will celebrate the installation of its new 1.2 megawatt wind turbine project, which is expected to produce between five and 10 percent of the university's electricity needs. Activities begin at 1 p.m. and will take place on the west side of campus, near the new turbines. 


Undergraduate Commencement

Ohio Northern University will present degrees to graduates of the Getty College of Arts and Sciences, the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, the Rudolph H. Raabe College of Pharmacy and The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration on Sunday, May 23.

Director of Development Named for College of Business Administration
Dacy Wilcox, associate director of annual giving for The Northern Fund, has accepted the position of director of development for the Dicke College of Business Administration.

Spring Hair Cut?
If you have at least 10 inches of hair you would like to donate, come to the McIntosh Activities Room on Wednesday, May 12, between 5:30 and 8 p.m. for a free haircut and style from Exclusive Hair Designs of Kenton. Hair will be collected and donated to Locks of Love, an organization that makes wigs and hairpieces for children who have suffered hair loss due to cancer or other medical conditions. Contact Dr. Catherine Young for more information.

Engineering Students Compete in SAE Aero Design Competition
Student teams from Ohio Northern University’s T.J. Smull College of Engineering garnered 15th- and 22nd-place finishes at the 2010 Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aero Design competition in Fort Worth, Texas. Forty-seven teams from Canada, Brazil, Poland and the United States participated in this year’s event.
