Students Present at Political Science Conference
Three Ohio Northern University students presented papers at the Midwest Political Science Association’s annual conference in Chicago, Ill., April 23-25.
Kelly Morman, a senior in political science from Monroeville, Ohio, presented “Strategy Reconsidered: The Impact of Election Choice on School Issue Success.”
Matthew Wiseman, a senior in history from Findlay, Ohio, presented “Legislative Campaigning and the use of Social Networking Sites.”
Michael Hamper, a senior in political science from Jefferson, Ohio, and Wiseman, presented “What Works?: Increasing the Turnout of Young Adults.”
Patti Stiger, a senior in political science from Bradner, Ohio, Shelia Willamowski, a senior in political science from Lima, Ohio, and Matt Allen, a senior in history from Chicora, Pa., also attended the conference, which was attended by more than 5,000 political scientists.
The students’ participation in the conference was made possible, in part, by a grant from the national chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha to fund student travel.
