2010 President's Leadership Dessert, May 12

FreedThe President’s Leadership Dessert began in 1999 as a way to highlight student leaders’ accomplishments on campus. The annual event honors both individual students and student organizations for outstanding leadership on campus.

The DeBow Freed Award for Outstanding Student Leadership is presented to one male and one female from each class. In addition to monetary awards, the winners’ names are listed on a bronze Freed Award plaque in the lobby of the McIntosh Center.

The Alice Kay Hilderbrand Student Organization of the Year Award, established in 2003, is presented at the event. Each organization receives a monetary award and has its name engraved on a plaquein the McIntosh Center lobby.

Each year the Office of Greek Life, Student Activities and Leadership and Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the national leadership honorary, co-sponsor the event.
