Business/Engineering Team Wins Innovation Chase Competition

A student team led by Josh Koza, a senior in management from Fairview Park, Ohio, and Scott Bauman, a freshman in mechanical engineering and entrepreneurship from Napoleon, Ohio, won the 2010 Innovation Chase competition April 30, sponsored by the Wrigley Company and the Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network (KEEN).

The competition involved preparing and delivering project plans, idea pitches, ethnographic studies, prototypes, and final team presentations. Each winning team member takes home $500 provided by the Wrigley Company and the Kern Family Foundation's KEEN program. Other ONU participants were Andrea Meers, a sophomore in forensic accounting from Lodi, Ohio, Greg Shanefelt, a junior in marketing from Latrobe, Pa., and Jeff West, a junior in mechanical engineering from Wooster, Ohio.
