Students to Discuss Study Abroad
Five history, politics and justice majors will discuss their experiences studying abroad at a 7 p.m. presentation on Wednesday, May 5, in the James F. Dicke forum as part of the Phi Beta Delta International Forum.
Student presenters are: Sheila Willamowski, a senior from Lima, Ohio, who studied in Korea/China; Sabrina Widman, a senior from Perrysburg, Ohio, who studied in Costa Rica; Lara Wood, a senior from Ada, Ohio, who studied in Morocco; Dan Jones, a senior from Ashland, Ohio, who studied in Great Britain/London; and Ben Kretz, a senior from Belle Center, Ohio, who studied in Great Britain.
The Phi Beta Delta International Forum tries to bring students, faculty, visiting professors and other experts together to discuss topics dealing with international affairs, education and research. This year Phi Beta Delta has sponsored or assisted in bringing together people such as a former president of the ACLU of Indiana, a West Point English professor, the president of the Ohio Chapter of the Veterans for Peace, an environmental activist and motivational speaker, an Iraqi Fulbright recipient and ESL Instructor, several ONU students who studied abroad in China, Germany, Spain and Korea and a Toledo-based Pakistani doctor who founded a non-governmental organization for
