ONU recognized among Ohio’s best

Apr 26, 2010

Ohio Northern University’s small class sizes, 12:1 student to teacher ratio and “strong blend of liberal arts and professional programs” has landed it on About.com’s list of the top ten colleges and universities in Ohio.

Compiled by Allen Grove, director of Alfred University’s First-Year Experience Program and an expert in student enrollment, retention, and success, the list features the state's finest performers based on reputation, first-year retention rate, 4- and 6-year graduation rates, selectivity and student engagement.

“Ohio has some excellent private and public colleges and universities,” said Grove.

ONU is joined on the list by Case Western Reserve University, College of Wooster, University of Dayton, Denison University, Kenyon College, Miami University of Ohio, Oberlin College, Ohio State University and Xavier University.
