Wilson Named Gilder Lehrman History Scholar
Carol Wilson, a senior in professional writing and history, politics and justice from Royal Oak, Mich., has been chosen as one of 10 Gilder Lehrman History Scholars for 2010.
The five-week program runs from June 27-July 31 and includes room and board in New York City at Columbia University, meetings with eminent historians, trips to archives and a research project that focuses on the Civil War and secession.
The Gilder Lehrman History Scholars Program awards scholarships to college undergraduates with a dedicated interest in American history for summer study in New York City. The aim of the program is to identify and support the top undergraduate majors in American history across the country.
