Khasawneh to Present at Teaching Workshop

Dr. Mohammad Khasawneh, assistant professor of civil engineering, has been selected as a 2010 ASCE ExCEEd fellow to participate in the 2010ASCE ExCEEd teaching workshop at the University of Colorado at Boulder from July 18-23, 2010.

The Excellence in Civil Engineering Education (ExCEEd) teaching workshop for civil engineering educators is hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). ASCE has presented this workshop each summer for the past 11 years. Faculty members across the country and around the world have taken part in this workshop. This year, Khasawneh is among 48 participants selected from across the country.

ASCE’s committee on faculty development selected Khasawneh because for his commitment to excellence in education and a willingness to serve as a role model for effective teaching at Ohio Northern University. In addition, ASCE provided a fellowship to reduce the cost of the attending the workshop.
