The SAE Micro-Baja Vehicle Design Competition is an annual event in which teams of students from many universities race against the clock on a track which simulates an off-road environment. Each team will have to design a vehicle which is capable of completing a lap on the track without outside help. The track incorporates hill climbs, twist bumps, S-turns, water, sand and rocks as obstacles. The competitor’s scores will be based on overall design as well as performance on the track. The unlimited class can make any modifications to the truck, as long as the parts added to the vehicle fit under the body shell.
