Estell Authors Report on Accreditation Issues

Dr. John K. Estell, professor of computer science and computer engineering and chair of the ECCS Department, was one of four subcommittee chairs heading a panel discussion on accreditation issues at the 2010 Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) annual meeting.

During the session, Estell reported on the findings of his subcommittee, which worked on developing recommendations for addressing what constitutes sufficient assessment for engineering programs. The written report, authored by Estell, presents both the subcommittee’s recommendations and the associated rationales and will be published on the ECEDHA web site and is to be forwarded to the IEEE Committee on Engineering Accreditation Activities for further action.
