Cardinal Health CEO to Speak at ONU
The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University presents Michael Kaufmann, CEO of the pharmaceutical segment of Cardinal Health, in the next installment of the Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series on Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the Dicke Forum.
Titled “More Than Just Brains,” the lecture is free and open to the public.
Kaufmann is a 1985 graduate of ONU’s College of Business Administration. Since beginning his career at Cardinal Health in 1990, he has held a number of senior operational, sales and finance roles, primarily within Cardinal Health’s pharmaceutical businesses. He led the company’s pharmaceutical repackaging operation before being promoted to head of retail pharmacy sales and marketing.
Today, Kaufmann serves as CEO of Cardinal Health’s $85 billion pharmaceutical segment, which distributes approximately one-third of all medicine prescribed in the U.S. to hospitals, retail pharmacies and other providers. The pharmaceutical segment also provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with marketing, distribution, specialty pharmaceutical and logistics services. Cardinal Health also operates the nation’s largest nuclear pharmacy network.
The ONU College of Business Administration Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series brings to campus successful entrepreneurs and officers of major corporations to discuss current business issues.
