Pickett to Present at Conference

Clyde Pickett, director of multicultural development, will be a presenter at the University of Akron’s Third Black Male Summit.

Pickett will present “Surviving the Game: Strategies to Navigate the College Sports System.”

The summit, titled “Charting Your Legacy,” will be April 9-10. The goals of the summit are: To provide participants with the information, knowledge, and skills to assist in their continual growth and development; To promote the holistic development of young Black men, emphasizing the following target areas:  intellectual growth, character enrichment, religious/spirituality expansion, community responsibility, and purpose and vision of oneself and future; To create a sustainable community of and for Black Men; and To channel conference participants into various institution programs, projects, initiatives, and focus groups that will further enhance their growth and development.
