ONU Presents the Toledo Symphony Orchestra
Ohio Northern University presents the Toledo Symphony in Presser Hall on Friday, Feb. 19, at 8 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Currently in its 66th season, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra has entertained audiences with beautiful music for decades. With more than 400 performances last year alone, the Symphony touched the lives of over 300,000 people. This year, Ohio Northern University and community members will be among those swept away by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.
The “Runout” series will make its debut at Presser Hall. Under the direction of lead conductor Chelsea Tipton II, the program includes Bartok’s “Rumanian Folk Dances,” Hindemith’s “Horn Concerto,” Shostakovich’s “Incidental Music from Hamlet,” Corigliano’s “Voyage for String Orchestra” and Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella Suite.” The soloist for the evening will be Dr. Thomas Hunt, chair of ONU’s department of music, on French horn.
