ONU Presents the Peking Acrobats
The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents the Peking Acrobats on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m.
From the People’s Republic of China to the Freed Center stage, this world-renowned group will make its first appearance at Ohio Northern University. The Peking Acrobats have wowed audiences since 1958. All performers are specially chosen from the very best acrobat schools in China. Ancient Chinese folk art acrobatics are transformed into spellbinding performances by jugglers, cyclists, gymnasts and tumblers. This 2,000-year-old art form has never been seen quite like this.
Under the direction of International Asia Inc., this group is the largest of its kind. There are now three generations of acrobats that have worked with this astounding group. Assisting the acrobats is an exotic Chinese orchestra as well as a state-of-the-art technical package. Jam-packed with two hours of twisting and turning, this performance is sure to be unforgettable.
Tickets are on sale now: $20 for general admission and $10 for children. The Freed Center box office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone orders are accepted with American Express, MasterCard, VISA or Discover by calling 419-772-1900.
