Grant Received

Dr. Jake Zimmerman, assistant professor of chemistry, and Dr. Chris Bowers, associate professor of chemistry, are the recipients of a $10,000 equipment grant from the Pittsburgh Conference Memorial National College Grant (PCMNCG) program.

The grant will be used to help purchase a Shimadzu HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)system that will allow faculty to introduce HPLC theory and separation techniques early into the undergraduate curriculum. The equipment will also create new opportunities for undergraduate research in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. ONU's proposal was one of 12 selected for funding from among the 59 received for consideration.
