Rich Boyd Awarded NCPA Scholarship; College of Pharmacy Honored
Boyd is one of 18 students awarded the presidential scholarship. Students from pharmacy schools across the country compete for the scholarships.
The NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarship is made on the basis of leadership qualities as well as academic achievement.
Boyd, who is the current president of the ONU NCPA Student Chapter as well as a member of the NCPA Business Plan Team, also received the NCPA Student Chapter Outstanding Member of the Year Award at the NCPA annual convention and trade exposition in New Orleans, La.
In competition for the 2009 NCPA student chapter of the year, Ohio Northern University was second runner-up to the University of Arkansas and the University of Southern California.
The National Community Pharmacists Association, founded in 1898, represents the nation's community pharmacists, including the owners of nearly 23,000 independent pharmacies.
