Habitat for Humanity Seeks Volunteer Opportunities in Ada Community

Oct 22, 2009
The Ohio Northern University chapter of Habitat for Humanity is looking to volunteer time through projects in and around homes in Ada and the surrounding communities.

Suggested projects include raking leaves, painting, moving, de-cluttering and shoveling snow. If you have a project that could be helped with a few extra hands, please contact Ross Robison at 260-417-7115 or at r-robison@onu.edu

Habitat for Humanity's mission is to eliminate substandard housing worldwide by building homes for families who need them. Habitat is not a giveaway; rather, homeowners repay the mortgage for the cost of building materials. The labor is donated. Habitat for Humanity's chapter at Ohio Northern University is active in the Hardin County area during the school year, and, during spring break, the chapter travels to other parts of the country to volunteer time and effort. More than 100 students are able to participate in the program, building homes and relationships that last a lifetime.

The Ohio Northern University chapter of Habitat for Humanity has weekly meetings Monday nights at 8 p.m. in the Chapel sanctuary of the English Chapel.
