Sep 3, 2009
More than 300 high school counselors and college representatives are expected to attend the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC) Articulation seminar at Ohio Northern University on Sept. 9.

The OACAC event is an opportunity for guidance counselors in Northwest Ohio to meet admissions officers from around Ohio and the United States, exchange information, network, and prepare for the upcoming academic year. Updates from the College Board, ACT, Ohio Public Universities, Ohio Private Colleges and Universities, and the Ohio Board of Regents will be included in the day.

Karen Condeni, ONU vice president and dean of enrollment said, "The ONU Office of Admissions is quite pleased to be a host site for this special program. We support the great importance of delivering accurate and helpful information about higher education to college-bound students. This event will enable a strong number of guidance personnel and colleges to communicate directly with one another in one convenient place. This effort will enable countless students to find their best college choice."

A welcome and financial aid update kick things off at 8:30 a.m. followed by informational sessions discussing updates on financial aid, two-year colleges, advising undecided students and retention.

Following lunch, the articulation college fair, with more than 150 tables, will be held at 1 p.m. in the ONU Sports Center.
