Get a [Social] Life!
With nearly 200 clubs and organizations on campus, ONU has something for everyone, whether you feel like tossing a Frisbee, hanging out with friends on the Tundra, cheering at a game, or having a cup of Starbucks coffee with friends at the Northern on Main café.
Approximately 20 percent of ONU’s student body participates in Greek life. Service and philanthropy are core values of these organizations. There are also activities in professional organizations, multicultural groups, intramural and club sports, cheerleading and the dance team.
Many Northern students are active in volunteer, service and religious life on campus with such organizations as Habitat for Humanity, Northern Christian Fellowship, Gospel Ensemble, Chapel band and choir, and Newman Club. If you like to help plan events or flex your leadership muscles, you can join Student Planning Committee. They work to schedule a year full of fun, free weekend events.

Take a study break with pizza, popcorn and friends and enjoy a movie on one of the 50-inch flat-panel TVs in the residence hall lounges. Or put on your running shoes or roller blades and head out to the Green Monster, a 2.5-mile lit, outdoor jogging path that winds its way through the nearly 300 acres of beautiful campus landscape.
Prefer your workout indoors? The Sports Center houses a pool, multipurpose field house, cardiovascular equipment, various aerobics classes, saunas, weight rooms, and volleyball, basketball and racquetball courts.
