Guest speaker to discuss ‘Women and Leadership’

Dr. Susan R. Madsen will speak on "Women and Leadership" as part of the Ohio Northern University James F. Dicke College of Business Administration Dean's Distinguished Lecture series in the Forum of Dicke Hall on Thursday, March 19 at 7 p.m.

Madsen, an assistant dean of faculty and associate professor of management at the Woodbury School of Business at Utah Valley University, has for the past four years researched the lifetime development of prominent women leaders and has personally interviewed a host of female university presidents, governors and international leaders.

Madsen has published nearly 50 articles and has written two books: "On Becoming a Women Leader: Learning from the Experiences of University Presidents"(2008) and "Developing Leadership: Learning from the Experiences of Women Governors" (2008).

Madsen serves as a consultant in the United Arab Emirates and China, and her research focuses on leadership development, change, ethics, strategic faculty development, academic service learning and work-life integration.

The College of Business Administration Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series brings to campus successful entrepreneurs and officers of major corporations to discuss current business issues.
