ONU offers "Be Your Own Boss" -- An Entrepreneur Learning Experience summer camp
The James F. Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University is offering "Be Your Own Boss -- An Entrepreneur Learning Experience" summer camp from June 17 - 22.
The featured program is open to high school students with a strong interest in entrepreneurship and small business. Students classified as "gifted" qualify to receive one college credit for attending the camp.
The weeklong residential camp experience will guide the student through the entrepreneurial business creation process: from concept generation to business plan. Students will learn how to develop an idea into a marketable product, how to select business type and structure most appropriate for their idea, how to connect with customers using innovative marketing techniques, and how to create an effective business plan.
Entrepreneurship and business topics will be taught by experienced Ph.D. qualified business faculty, and successful entrepreneurs. Students will also travel to several entrepreneurial businesses -- The Wilson Sporting Goods Co. (manufacturer of the NFL football), Honda of America and Kewpee - to meet and learn entrepreneurial skills from their founders or leaders
More information about the camp is available at http://www.onu.edu/academics/summer_academic_and_honors_institute.
Students should submit their application by June 1, 2007.
