Renovated Northern on Main to Open With New Look, Menu
Remodeling work was done in the kitchen to enhance the menu, and additional work was done in the interior to provide additional seating options and more efficient service.
"We are very pleased with all the work that has been done to NOM," said Terri Mathis, general manager of Sodexo. "The changes will provide a more upscale environment, and the additions we made to the menu will give customers more food items we feel will cater to their needs."
The new menu will feature enhanced versions of current sandwich and salad items. The asiago roast beef sandwich on baguette and mozzarella caprese sandwich are just two of the new sandwiches being introduced on the improved menu, which also includes Italian club, black forest ham and Swiss cheese, peppered turkey breast with cheddar cheese, and turkey. Tuna or chicken salad on croissants will still be available.
With the introduction of a new oven, sandwiches can now be served hot or cold.
The chef salad and Klondike's chopped salad will be served on a daily basis, along with one specialty salad rotated on a weekly basis. Specialty salads to be offered are Cobb, Mandarin chicken, spinach apple and blue cheese, honey citrus chicken, Greek, and Buffalo shrimp salads.
Renovations also include the introduction of a fresh bakery where warm fruit turnovers, muffins, doughnuts, scones, cinnamon rolls and cookies will be available for breakfast.
The seating area will include booths, as well as tables and chairs, plus updated wall coverings, carpet and tile that incorporate the ONU orange and black into a contemporary earth tone design. New signs and interior lightings will complete the new look. Customers can still enjoy free wireless Internet access and Starbucks® coffee products.
