Noe qualifies to Nationals, leads ONU Track at Oliver Nikoloff Invitational

CINCINNATI - Junior Dani Noe turned in a provisional national-qualifying performance in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday to lead the Ohio Northern women's track & field team at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at Gettler Stadium.

The ONU women were 12th of 19 teams with 13 points, while Cincinnati won the team title with 243 points.

Noe placed third in the 400-meter hurdles in a career-best and provisional-qualifying time of 1:03.95.

Noe also teamed with junior Joy Kessler, sophomore Brittany Farber and freshman Lauren Rupp to place seventh in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:04.05.

The women's 4x100-meter relay also placed, finishing in eighth-place.

Freshman Aubrie Stechschulte, sophomores Karen Thatcher and Kirsten Yoho, and senior Amy Swigert ran a time of 51.78 in the relay.

Thatcher also placed sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 33-03.75.

The Ohio Northern track & field team returns to action next Saturday at the All-Ohio Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware.
