The Ohio Northern men’s soccer team lays claim to one of the best soccer facilities in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
The ONU Soccer Field touts grandstand style seating for 400, an electric scoreboard, a fully enclosed press box and one of the best playing surfaces in the region.
ONU also recently installed a new automatic underground irrigation system for the game field.
The Polar Bears make year-round use of four outdoor practice fields and the nationally-renowned ONU Sports Center.
The new Dial-Roberson Outdoor Events facility, opened in the fall of 2004 adjacent to the ONU Soccer Field, is also accessible.
The ONU Sports Center was opened for use at the beginning of the 1974-75 academic year and was expanded to its current size of 18,000 square feet in 1991.
The building houses a state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility, three full-size gymnasiums, two racquetball courts, a 25-yard, six-lane swimming pool, two weight rooms, a training room, a dance and exercise room, a wrestling room, an athletic room, a 120-yard elevated running track, classrooms and faculty offices, and a VIP lounge with views of both the center gymnasium and pool.
