Two Engineering Students Named Tau Beta Pi Scholars

Two Ohio Northern University engineering students are the recipients of academic scholarships from Tau Beta Pi, national engineering honor society.

Paul Lewis, senior civil engineering major from Medina, Ohio, and Kevin Ring, senior civil engineering major from Mentor, Ohio, both received a cash award of $2,000 for their senior year of engineering study.

The Fellowship Board of Tau Beta Pi selected 145 scholars from 366 applicants, the largest amount of scholarship winners awarded in one year since the program was established in 1998. All Tau Beta Pi scholarships are awarded on the competitive criteria of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. All scholars are members of Tau Beta Pi

Tau Beta Pi is the National Engineering Honor Society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885. There are 234 collegiate chapters across the United States and 18 active alumnus chapters. The society has initiate nearly 500,000 members in its 123-history and is the world's largest engineering society.
