ONU Beta Alpha Psi team recognized for best practices
Eight members of Ohio Northern’s Mu Delta chapter participated in the Beta Alpha Psi (BAΨ) Midwest Regional Meeting from March 23-24 in Ann Arbor, Mich. The conference was highlighted by Ohio Northern’s BAΨ team winning the “Best Practices” competition. The team presented “Branding Your Chapter,” and its members were Alex Klouvas, Alexis Jordan, Don Chapman and Zach Padden. The students also presented to both the ONU Board of Trustees and the Dicke College of Business Administration Advisory Board on May 4.
The team of Ben Neville, Jack Ellerhorst, Martrina Parks and Victoria Volpe also attended the conference to present “Launching Into the Next Century.”
The competition teams were joined at the conference by Dr. John Navin, dean of the Dicke College of Business Administration; Navin’s wife, Patty; Advisory Board member Deann Newman, BSBA ’83; professor Matthew Phillips, BAΨ advisor and the Roger Young endowed professor in accounting; and A.J. Hatem, director of the Master of Science in Accounting program and Beta Alpha Psi co-advisor.
Founded in 1919, BAΨ is an honor organization for financial information students and professionals. There are more than 300 chapters on college and university campuses with more than 300,000 members initiated since BAΨ’s formation. The primary objective of BAΨ is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.
