Ohio Northern University to earn third place in Best Practices Competition

Members of the Mu Delta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi earned third place in the Best Practices Competition at the 2015 regional meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 28, 2015.

ONU accounting students, Ryan Abraham, graduate student from Canfield, Ohio; Tyler Reams, a senior accounting major from Washington Court House, Ohio; Alexandra Turnea, a senior accounting major from Brunswick, Ohio; John Kramer, a senior accounting major from Buford, Ga.; and Megan Walker, a senior accounting major from Troy, Ohio; represented the ONU chapter and competed in the Best Practices Competition: Effective Operations. The students competed with students from eight other universities within the Midwest region.

Courtney Horstman, a senior accounting major from Delphos, Ohio; Philip Bryant, a senior accounting major from Oak Harbor, Ohio; Gregory Hooper, a senior accounting major from Galloway, Ohio; and Ashley Zoeller, a graduate student from Port Clinton, Ohio; gave a presentation on community service to faculty and students attending the meeting. They described the Mu Delta Chapter’s service events such as VITA, FETCH, and the United Way of Hardin County.

The nine ONU students above, as well as MPPA program director, Dr. Anita Morgan, attended many beneficial presentations, sessions, and activities which focused on ethical behavior, professional development, leadership, and networking. These activities were lead by Beta Alpha Psi professional partners and alumni.
