Family Day Full of Activities

Family Day at Ohio Northern University will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Parents will have the opportunity to understand their student's daily life at ONU and get a peek into all the exciting events planned for them throughout the year.

A seminar conducted by a student affairs staff panel and moderated by Adriane Thompson-Bradshaw, acting vice president of student affairs, titled "Discussing Life Outside the Classroom with Your Son or Daughter" will be held at 10 a.m. in the McIntosh Center ballroom.

Another seminar, “Achieving Academic Success at ONU,” will be moderated by Dr. Roger Goldberg, associate vice president of academic affairs, will be held at the same time in the McIntosh Center activities room. It will feature Dr. Druann Bauer, assistant professor of English, Dr. Julie Ann Adams, assistant professor of biological sciences, Dr. Ellen S. Wilson, associate professor of history, and Dr. Christopher Bowers, associate professor of chemistry.

Dr. Kendall L. Baker, president of ONU, and Mrs. Toby Baker will host an open house and reception at 11 a.m. at the Dicke House. This will be followed by a tailgating lunch outside the president's home beginning at 11:30 a.m. A pep rally following lunch will be held outside Dial-Robertson Stadium prior to ONU's football home opener against Otterbein at 1 p.m.

An afternoon activity fair will begin at 4 p.m. in the McIntosh Center Ballroom, and the evening will conclude with nationally known comedian Erick Blake at 8 p.m. in the North Gym of the ONU Sports Center.
