Admission Criteria

Who is eligible?

  • Qualified accounting graduates 
  • Qualified business or other graduates with accounting electives
  • Qualified professionals seeking to add or hone fraud examination skills

Admissions criteria for entry into the MSA program include the following:

General minimum application and admissions requirements

Applicants must have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with the equivalent in coursework including:
    • Intermediate Accounting I and II
    • Auditing 
    • U.S. Federal Taxation
  • At least one of the following:
    • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
    • Accounting GPA (calculated from upper-level courses) and upper-level (300- and 400-level) GPA of 3.25 or higher
    • Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0-3.24 plus GMAT score of 500 or higher*
    • Accounting GPA and upper-level GPA of 3.0-3.24 plus GMAT score of 500 or higher*
  • TOEFL score (if applicable) of 600 for paper-based, 250 for computer-based, or 100 for Internet-based test
  • Completion of online application form, including all requested documentation and references

* Applicants with GPA of 3.0-3.24 will be referred to the MSA faculty committee for review.
