Instructors may place on reserve
Material owned by them or the library
and Material copied from books, periodicals, media, publisher reprints etc.

Reserve material will be available to patrons in print and where possible in electronic format.

Material copied (both hard and electronic versions) for reserve in Heterick Memorial Library will comply with the copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code). Any material not in compliance will not be placed on reserve.

Copying shall not be used as a substitution for the purchase of books, media, publisher's reprints or periodicals. Faculty members are strongly urged to submit purchase requests for these items. All requests for items to be placed on reserve must originate with the instructor of the course.

Electronic reserve when feasible is the preferred form of access since it provides 24-hours, 7-day a week availability and access can be remote. Use of electronic reserves is restricted to authorized patrons of Ohio Northern University.

Requests for placing material on reserve should comply with the following policies:
a) Items owned by Instructor or the library
b) Items copied from books, periodicals, media, etc.
