Digital Measures

The Office of Institutional Research utilizes Digital Measures' Activity Insight (AI), a fully customizable online information management system designed to organize and report faculty’s teaching, research and service activities. AI is used by more than 500 schools and colleges in more than 20 countries to manage critical information for accreditation and personnel management. It provides the most reliable, versatile and secure solution to generating custom reports easily and in real time. AI eliminates the time consuming and often tedious task of gathering and compiling of data to build reports. AI saves time and effort by eliminating the manual preparation of faculty activity reports. From customized report generation for accreditation and campus stakeholders, to keeping faculty profiles current, AI allows ONU to focus on using the reports, instead of preparing them. Once data are entered into AI, reports can be generated immediately by anyone who has designated access to the reports. Reports can be prepared in any format or configuration necessary. AI can be accessed at any time, day or night, from anywhere you have an Internet connection.

Ohio Northern is using Digital Measures more and more. Information is put into the program and then used many times for reports, vitaes, marketing, accrediations, annual reports, promotion and tenure. There is a good chance that citations of your publications are already stored in another software system such as a reference manager (e.g., EndNote, Mendeley, RefWorks, Zotero) or a database (e.g., Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science). Those software systems enable you to pick records and then export them into a BibTeX file. This utility enables you to upload that BibTeX file so that you do not need to rekey those citations. Please look for this tool in Intellectual Contributions.

If you would like to have a report for your department or college please contact IR, ext 2009 for a consultation.
