- 4:00 p.m.
Welcome and Registration Tea - Please join current students, alumni, faculty and staff at the Inn at Ohio Northern University for a kick-off to the Weekend of Art! Also, view students photojournalism which will be displaying their feature photography in the Inn. These photographs run the gamut when it comes to subject matter—from chandeliers to graveyards, and from snow scenes to scenes from the Freed Center.
- 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Jazz at the Inn - Known as the Dean of Toledo Jazz, Gene Parker brings his quartet of stalwart musicians to Ada to entertain our guests. Gene is also an adjunct professor at ONU and has been instrumental in helping to put the ONU jazz program “on the map!”
- 7:30 – 9:45 a.m.
Breakfast - The Inn at Ohio Northern University
- 9:00 - 12:00 p.m.
Art Walk - Take a trolley ride to see the many art features around Ohio Northern. Included on the tour is the Remington Walk, Medicinal Herb Path and Garden, Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences, Elzay Gallery and Dicke Gallery. Enjoy the whole tour or choose your favorite segment to visit.

Lunch - The Inn at Ohio Northern University
- 1:15 – 3:15 p.m.
Serious Play Art Workshops - Play is seriously creative and innovative - if you take it seriously. Join Art & Design faculty and students in the Wilson Art Center for a series of collaborative, experimental art sessions that focus on the concept of play to generate ideas and solutions. A variety of workshops are offered to engage all ages, from children to adults.
- 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Polaris Brass - The brass quintet in residence at ONU, presents a recital of selections from the stage including Broadway favorites such as West Side Story and opera favorites such as Bizet’s Carmen. The recital takes place in Snyder Recital Hall.

Junior Recital – Snyder Recital Hall, Presser - Trumpeter: Tyler Graves
- 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
42nd Street Lecture – “The Staging of 42nd Street” - Includes a backstage tour of the Freed Center, a talk back session with the creative team and an insight into the staging of this popular musical.
- 6:00 p.m.
42nd Street Gala at the Inn at Ohio Northern University - The annual Gala event celebrates the entire season at the Freed Center and reveals the 20th Anniversary Season. Guests, underwriters and friends will have an opportunity to meet the creative team behind the biggest musical of the year, 42nd Street, and rub shoulders with directors, choreographers, designers and fellow supporters of the arts. Immediately following the Gala, attendees are invited to the performance of 42nd Street.

42nd Street at the Freed Center - Come and meet those dancing feet and follow the adventures of talented, aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer as she learns the ropes to becoming a Broadway star! You will leave the theatre humming some of the great hits from the show: “Dames,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” and “Forty-Second Street.”
- 10:30 p.m.
Late Night Jazz - After 42nd Street, relax at The Inn to the cool sounds of singer Maria Fracino along with the pianist Michael Jordan.
