Freed Center Stambaugh Studio Theatre
This production is recommended for mature audiences due to sexual content, violence and mature language.
The play is NEVADA. Lucia, Rosnay, Osmel, Magda, Higinio, and Frank are the characters in Nevada : a girlfriend that becomes corrupted, a boyfriend that becomes a pimp, a young military high-school student with probable homosexual preferences, a mother that works as a nurse struggles with her loneliness and transcends the moral, ethical and social limits; an old man, movie theatre keeper that strives to survive , and a businessman that knows how to do things and does all things possible for money.
The principal conflict of the play hovers around the first two characters: they will do all that is necessary to leave the country illegally, inasmuch as Rosnay’s mother lives in North American city of Nevada, surely a promising paradise, and Lucia could not resist staying in Cuba without “the man that she liked”. As the story unfolds, individual attitudes develop in actions that will eventually make the final solution more complex.
