Director of Community Relations
In addition to her role as first lady at Ohio Northern University, Chris Burns-DiBiasio serves as director of community relations. At Northern, she has been directly involved in establishing Get Connected ONU, Ada Civic Engagement (ACE) Day and the Affinity Gardens, and she has worked closely with Sodexho to establish dining enhancements.
In addition, Burns-DiBiasio is involved in numerous community-based organizations. She is a member of the Wilson Football Museum Board of Trustees, the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Board of Directors, and the Activate Allen County Leadership Team. She also is a community fellow with the Hardin Community School and a founding member of the Ada Buy Local First Committee.
At Wilmington College, she held the position of director of community relations, serving as a liaison between local businesses, nonprofits, education and government agencies and the college. Former positions include director of affirmative action at the University of New Hampshire, director of training and development at the University System of New Hampshire, and training and development manager at Bank One in Columbus, Ohio. She also worked at the National Center for Research in Vocational Education at Ohio State University and at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont.
Burns-DiBiasio earned her B.S. from the College of Agriculture and Home Economics at the University of Vermont and a M.Ed. from Montana State University.
