Website Instructions Create A Page

Creating a Page:

  1. Log in to the website: or
  2. From the "My Workbench" menu, select "Create Content" and then "Page"
  3. Enter a "Title" for your page
  4. Enter the content for your page in the "Body" field by either directly entering the information or by using the "paste as plain text" button or the "paste from Word" buttons:

  5. Click the checkbox beside "Provide a menu link" in the "Menu settings" tab at the bottom of the page
  6. After clicking the checkbox, the information that you entered in the "Title" field is automatically placed in the "Menu link title" field, but you can change it if necessary
  7. Skip "Description"
  8. If you would like a menu item for your page and for your page to automatically to appear in the "In This Section" menu complete the following steps. If you don't need a menu item skip this section and go to #9 below.
    1. Select the parent item for your page from the "Parent item" menu
      1. This is a very large menu that contains all of the structure items in our website
      2. The organization of this menu follows the structure of the entire website so the items across the top of the website, "About," "Academics," etc., are to the left side of the menus, and dashes are used to indent for each layer
      3. HINT: Your browser will allow you to jump around in this menu by typing the characters that are used in the menu. Clicking in the menu and then typing "<A" will jump you to the Academics section, "<S " to the Student Life section, "-- L"  to the Library and "---- College of Pha" to Pharmacy.
  9. Click the "Save" button 
  10. Your page has been saved, but it isn't visible on the website because it is in the "Draft" state. At this point, you can either click the "Edit draft" button if you would like to make further changes, or select "Needs Review" in the "Set moderation state" field and click "Apply" to send the page to Communications and Marketing for review.
  11. Once Communications and Marketing has reviewed your page, the page will be published for you.
