Middle School Piano Camp
July 27-31, 2015
The Theme: Music Paints a Picture The age-old task of setting a scene with music has inspired and intrigued composers of all ages. Great artists never tire of trying to bring their vivid imaginations to life. For musicians, painting an aural picture can present a particularly perplexing problem. How do you create a scene or paint a picture with music? In this camp we will explore techniques and sounds that evoke emotions and images. Campers will improve their own solo piece during daily master classes, and play in a duet or trio that will be featured in the recital on Friday. The last day will also include the very popular Musical Olympics! This camp meets Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with a recital on Friday at 4:15 p.m.
